This attractive pick and mix cart was produced for my daughters' wedding earlier in 2010 - a vintage theme ran throughout the day.
It received so many compliments, from the guests, the venue management, florists and caterers - and the sweets certainly went down well, particularly with the grown ups!
Since then we have received a number of requests to hire the cart for weddings and corporate events over the coming year.
We took the cart, complete with complimentary sweets, to the Wedding Fair at Bennetts Water Lily Gardens in September - one of Dorset's most breathtaking wedding venues. We attracted a lot of attention and compliments from all who came - mainly because it was seen as 'something different'. 'individual', 'great fun', and 'a good way to keep the children and grown ups entertained'. Many brides came up with some original ideas for the cart - one wanted black and white sweets and matching bags, labels, roof etc, to co-ordinate with her colour scheme and we came up with liquorice, humbugs, mints, sugared almonds, and personalised rock.
This year we were at Kingston Maurward wedding fair on 13 February 2011 - an extremely popular venue for weddings. We were overwhelmed by the reaction of brides, grooms and their families who fell in love with the cart and booked it for their special day.
